Brief Summary of the Article:
The Barbadian musician/songwriter David Kirton has a Barbados cultural concert for children and their families at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. He sings about George Washington's home on the historic Garrison Savannah, conveys the peaceful culture of Barbadian life, and the natural beauty of the island. David Kirton's performances are known as the Green Camouflage Peace March where children can also experience what its like to grow up in Barbados.
Thoughts, Comments, and/or Reaction:
I feel that a performance such as this would be interesting. It gives people the opportunity to learn of another culture and see the beauty of Barbados with David's words of imagery. This article shows how cultures are being shared.
Article's Relation to "Culture"
The performance is about Barbadian life and culture, and the beauty of the island itself. David Kirton is from Barbados and makes the show entirely about Barbadian culture in order to educate children and their families. At the end of the performance cut outs of Barbados fly fish are handed out for children to take home and color as souvenirs.
